Disaster Recovery Options

IPitomy has several layers of redundancy to accommodate varying degrees of emergency failover.  IPitomy sales and technical resources can work with you to assist in engineering the most cost effective and appropriate business continuity plan for your company. A cloud Hosted IPitomy PBX is your best defense against disaster.  Since the Cloud PBX is hosted in the Amazon cloud, the system is always on, always up to date and always safe.  

1.) Hot backup - for On Premise VoIP and TDM applications.  A complete identical server can be configured to take over when the primary server is not available.

2.) Cloud backup - Backup a premise based system in the cloud with VoIP.  Phones will automatically switch to the VoIP cloud server in the event they cannot connect with the primary server.

3.) Optional hardware components - Redundant power supply and RAID drives.  

4.) SIP trunk failover - in the event that the primary PBX is not available, the SIP trunks will automatically failover to a backup number taking advantage of cloud based VoIP.

5.) T1/PRI failover to be used with a Hot Backup system.  Will send all T1/PRI traffic to the backup PBX in case the primary is unavailable.

Mobile Control is targeted at IPitomy users who benefit from increased access to IP PBX features from mobile phones, extending the reach of their IPitomy IP PBX to anywhere and expanding the value of their Unified Communications investment.

IPitomy’s Mobile Control extends your access to your IPitomy IP PBX system to include anywhere you have cell phone coverage.  Now you can leverage the power of your iPhone, iPad, Android, Blackberry and any other web enabled smartphone by activating and changing conditions of your personal IPitomy IP PBX features from your mobile phone.  Mobile Control increases the ability to manage corporate Voicemail, Forwarding and Find-Me-Follow-Me features from your mobile phone.

Mobile Control

IPitomy’s Mobile Control is ubiquitous and works across many platforms that have web browsers, so the same application can be leveraged on many devices.  This reduces the cost of development and deployment and guarantees interoperability across a broad spectrum of mobile devices from many manufacturers; now and in the future.

This most recent application adds to the current list of great mobile applications IPitomy customers enjoy.  Mobile Control provides access to features in real time that change call forwarding on the fly.  This allows users to forward their office extension to their mobile phone whenever needed from anywhere.  This application is extremely useful in and out of the office.  In large warehouse operations, extensions can be forwarded to mobile phones, eliminating the expense of wireless office phones in many cases.  In medical environments, the on-call physician can be set up in minutes to receive calls ringing at the office.  During emergencies, calls can be forwarded on the fly to create new call coverage scenarios instantly. With IPitomy, calls forwarded to smartphones can also be transferred back to the office or any other number if the need arises.

Mobile Control also gives the user access to their IPitomy IP PBX personal voice mailbox where they are visually apprised of message status and can review messages from any of the 10 possible message folders… keeping the user connected when and where they need to be.

DECT REPEATERS

The DECT Repeaters are designed in accordance with the Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT) standard. This type of repeater (WRS Wireless Relay Stations) is intended for use in residential, business and public DECT applications based on the GAP profile. Both models include a SMB connector for an external directional antenna which can be used to extend DECT coverage to remote areas from the typical base station.
