IPitomy Updates - Version 3.0.2233
Available Now at the Dealer Downloads Site
Follow Me Updates The follow me prompts can now be customized. Several new prompts have been added to the default configuration to allow much more flexibility in what the caller hears when calling a Follow me extension. Callers can hear music, voice messages and be screened.
Follow me will now allow a user to put the extension of the follow me in the follow me list and ring other PSTN numbers or extensions simultaneously or in sequence. This allows more flexibility in ringing multiple extensions and outside numbers at the same time.
Backups Old backup files can be imported but can no longer be created. New backup can optionally contain: Music on hold, prompts, license file, logs, system configuration database, and voicemail. Any old database files on the system at the time of an upgrade will automatically be converted to the new format.
One of the benefits of the new format is that the file may be renamed and it will still work properly, as long as the file extension: ‘.ipbak’, stays the same.
Automated Backups Backup files can be created automatically, up to 5 files can be stored and the oldest will be overwritten at the time of a new backup. These backups can be performed Daily, Weekly, or Monthly. Backups can also be sent to an external FTP server.
Outbound Transfer Numbers Added List of numbers that when they are dialed, the person receiving the call has the ability to transfer calls using ## feature code. Or, for example: if you put your cell phone number in the list, then when someone calls you on your cell phone from the system, you can press ## and you will hear: “Transfer”. You can now enter the extension number you wish to transfer to. Note you are transferring the caller not your cell. After the transfer your cell would be disconnected.
You can access this feature through PBXSetup‐>General. The Transfer permissions section allows the transfer to use the dialing permissions for internal destinations only, or you can use the permissions of any existing extension in the system.
Aastra BLF Transfer Enabled use of the Aastra BLF Transfer functionality. This enhances the operator console to speed up transfers in a busy environment. The feature eliminates to need to press the transfer key for blind transfers. The operator just has to press the extension key from the Aastra console and the call is immediately transferred. Attended transfers are still done the original way. |
